You just can’t stop a PH-er!

Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010

The PH patient support associations in Italy have been great participants in PuckerUp4PH from the very start, and so we were thrilled to hear about the plans of AIPI (Associazione Ipertensione Polmonare Italiana) for this year’s initiative.  AIPI are working around the challenges of organising a single AIPI event during the busy summer holiday months by distributing their kits amongst the 15 of their enthusiastic members who have so far taken up the challenge of collecting as many lip prints as possible from family and friends.  Their youngest volunteer, 12 year old Maria (pictured right, with her parents) from a small town near Mestre , Venice intends to collect a blue lip print from everyone in her village!

I’ve just come from the new AIPI website which appears to have been relaunched in the last few days – it is well worth a look!

Unfortunately, our shipment of Blue Lips Kits to Brazil has fallen foul of customs, once again the blue lipstick causing consternation it seems, but we are still working hard to get it released!  This hasn’t stopped one group of family and friends from Puckering Up, their sentiments expressed best in their own words, “Todos juntos em prol da Hipertensao Pulmonary” or “All together for Pulmonary Hypertension”.

Email us at to share any creative ideas you have for getting involved, you just may help inspire others to have a go and help us hit our target!
